Betsey Porter Cook

1790 – 1857
Betsey was a daughter of Phineas Porter (who led a local regiment for six months in 1775, to NY and Montreal) and Millicent (Baldwin) Porter. Betsey married Zenas Cook, one of the earliest clockmakers
in Waterbury, in 1810. Their children were named Lucian Porter, Harriet Maria, Mary Elizabeth, and Catherine Louesa. Betsey's sister, Sally Porter, remained unmarried and lived with Betsey and Zenas until Betsey's death.
