Children's Wedding Guest Dress and Petticoat

Art age 8, Emily Watson, daughter of Gilbert Watson, attended her uncle Ericson Bushnell's wedding in this dress. Both dress and slip are of a delicate white cotton voile and embellished with matching bobbin lace trim and insertion.
The dress has a full skirt, with scalloped lace insertion and flounces at the hem, that is gathered tightly to a bodice that is pin-tucked all around. The bodice has a round neckline with a long, scalloped-edge falling collar. It has short sleeves with two layered frills held with cartridge pleats. It is decorated with light pink satin bows. It closes with buttons at the center back. 
The slip has a plain sleeveless bodice with three horizontal tucks and a frill the hem. The skirt is gathered to the bodice. The slip is tacked to the dress at the neckline. 
 Condition: excellent.
