Indenture Sarah Rulin

Indenture Sarah Rulin

1781 (Date manufactured/created)
This indenture agreement bound nineteen-year old Sarah Rulin, an Indian from Long Island, to 99 years of service to Simon Couch of Fairfield. She signed with her mark, though it’s unlikely she had a choice. A year later, her indenture would be passed on to Simon Couch’s son.
