The waist of a child's christening robe with skirt removed. Bodice, entirely hand sewn closes at back with triple drawstring at waist and neck. The short gathered sleeves are trimmed, as is the neckline, with scallop edged lace. The bodice front has an inserted, gathered triangular panel split by lace insertion. The bodice closes at the back.
