Oil portrait of Mary Chichester by Edwin Murray MacKay, signed and dated 1918. Seated woman with dark dress covered by a white shawl, a fan in her right hand and a ring on her left. She is wearing a jet pendant on a neckband and a spanish comb in her hair. 

Mary Chichester (1857-1930) lived on West Avenue at the site of the YWCA. This was restored by the Friends of the Norwalk Museum in the early 1990s. Records state: French Labels on the revers - metal plaque nailed to reverse reads "Logen LeFebre Foinet Paris 19 Rue Vavin 2 Rue Brea." Other notes in the records states "AVEZ tableaux & object d'Art, Blanchhe, 76-Paris, Exposition de Philadelphie (red stamped), No. 33."
